Landlady Writing Task

‘No, dear,’ she said ‘only you’

‘Oh how peculiar’ billy said ‘if you don’t mind me asking, what is in this tea’

the landlady smiled ‘oh black tea with almond milk and my secret ingredient’

‘what might that be?’ billy asked in worry

his stomach started turning and folding inside and out, a gut-wrenching pain stabbed him, he tried to hold it in but the pain was too much. he could feel the sensation spreading up his body into his throat. he tried to tell the lady and she just watched him and smiled

‘oh deary me’

He managed to blurt out a cry for help ‘What is happening’

The landlady now stood tall above her; she seemed like a giant, it was spreading faster now a stinging sensation filled his entire body.

‘Now dear, I have been waiting for a long time for someone like you to come through here…’

Billy lay on the ground paralyzed looking up at her in shock

‘Your hair is the perfect colour, your eyes are the perfect shade, your hands are a perfect size, your a spitting image of my baby boy, may I call you that, may I call you my baby boy’

Billy let out a scream

‘Hush my baby boy, let me explain what is going to happen’

Billy’s eyes grew wider in terror as she explained, tears started welling up in his eyes, he tried to move to get out but nothing, his body lay practically dead on the floor.

‘I will be so close to having my son back, so close,’

The landlady then starts fiddling and then grabs billy and lifts him to his feet, she is surprisingly strong for a lady of her age she then moves up over to the stairs and to the stairlift that was conveniently placed, she placed him in the seat and he struggled as it started moving up, 8 stairs passed, he tries more aggressively now but he is not moving, 16 stairs passed, the second floor, he tried to look up to the slaughterhouse where he would be spending his last hour but his head wouldn’t move so he glanced in his peripheral vision to see the landlady opening the door into the dark gloomy space he saw a window that had been covered in a semi see-through brown fabric closing out any view to the public. He reached the top, 32 stairs had passed.

She lifted him out of the chair and toward the room, Billy shut his eyes in horror as the view of pieces of humans sat scattered around the room and a person in the corner sitting he looked patchy, missing pieces of him. The landlady threw billy into the seat placed in the middle of the room and went over to the mutilated man in the corner and picked him up like a child, behind him was a stereo she pressed a button and old music started playing, she swung the body around and danced and laughed with it billy watched in horror,

‘Time for you my dear’……
